General Notes: Husband - George Knox

He was a Scotch-Irishman and was the first of the family to settle in Butler County, Pennsylvania.

He was from the North of Ireland, whence he went to Scotland, later coming to America. He settled on the farm in Butler County, Pennsylvania, then known as the Moore place. He died there at the age of eighty-one years.
With his first wife he had two children. After her death he married a second wife whith whom he had two sons and one daughter. Of the children listed, it is not clear which were born to which wife.
