Crafton Ghost of New Castle, former resident of this neighborhood, Died February 3 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Nettie Wharton. Last of John Ghost and Catherine Surrena family, and lived on farm on Clintonville Road which was a part of his father's farm until a few years ago when he and his wife, who was Miss Ann McWilliams, went to New Castle to make their home with their daughter and only child, Mrs. Ghost passed away shortly afterwards. He was past 80 years, quite active, he visited his former neighbors on a hunting trip this fall but since has been suffering from heart trouble. Funeral in New Castle and interment there where his wife was buried. (1925)

Another article : Mrs. Clinton Surrena , Philip Walters and Mr. and Mrs. Samuel R. Donaldon and son Russell went down to New Castle Thursday to attend funeral of Craft Ghost who died Tuesday morning at home of his daughter, Mrs. Nettie Ghost Wharton. Methodist church, 84 years of age.

Death of Mrs. Anna McWilliams Ghost, wife of Crafton Ghost, occurred at home of daughter, Mrs. Nettie Wharton, of New Castle, recently. She was 83 years and had lived near here for many years. Survived by husband and daughter.
