Possible info about this person [HVC 1879, 569]: Christian Ghering, was born in Wirtemburg, Germany, in 1808. He imigrated to America in 1843, and located in Cher-rytree township, Venango county, PA. He was married in 1832, and brought his wife and four children to this country with him. The family consists of ten children. He died August 2, 1877.

Possible info about this person (or a son for the above?) [HVC 1879, 569]: Christian Gahring, was born in Germany, in 1826. He immigrated to America in 1844, settling in Venango county, PA. Married Miss Elizabeth Fry, February 27th, 1855. They have a family of nine children.
