Most of his life was given to the cause of education. At 15 years of age he taught his first school “in the wilds of Forest County, PA”, at 21 he was principal of the Sandy Lake, Mercer County, schools, and at 24 he was superintendent of the schools of the county, at which time he was said to be the young­est man holding such a position in the en­tire Union. He thereafter served as Presi­dent of Volant College, principal of the Irwin High School and Superintendent of the City Schools of Sistersville, WV. He is now editor of “The Cleveland Post,” published at Cleveland, Ohio.
