General Notes: Husband - Richard Geary


He was of Scotch-Irish ancestry, a native of Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and a man of education and refined tastes. He and his wife removed to Westmoreland County soon after marriage, where he engaged at first in the manufacture of iron, which proving unsuccessful, he resorted to teaching, a profession he pursued the remainder of his life.
