General Notes: Husband - Simon Schmader

In 1832 he and his wife took up their residence in Knox township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, where the father opened up a farm. In Elk County he had worked in an iron furnace. He and his wife had seventeen children; twelve were still living in 1898.

He and his wife were natives of Germany, who came to America in 1847. They located in Knox township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, where he followed the occupations of farming and lumbering.
