General Notes: Husband - William Allison

He was born in the north of Ireland, and was of Scotch ancestry; came to America about 1730, and settled in that part of the Cumberland valley, Pennsylvania, where the town of Greencastle, Franklin County, is now situated, and died there, aged eighty-two years. He was one of the first justices of Cumberland County, and on May 28, 1750, with other justices, met Richard Peters, Provincial Secretary of Pennsylvania, at Shippensburg, for the purpose of removing trespassers, who were mostly Scotch-Irish, from the unpurchased lands belonging to the Indians. He left a will, which was proved February 23, 1779, and recorded in the Register's Office at Carlisle, in Will Book "C," page 144.
