General Notes: Husband - William C. Grimes

He attended the common schools, and when fourteen years of age returned to Pennsylvania with his father. He farmed extensively, and was also engaged in stock-raising. His farm consisted of 165 acres of land, lying on Buffalo creek, in the northern part of Buffalo township, Washington County. In politics he was a stanch Democrat, but not a politician. His wife was a member of the United Presbyterian Church at Taylorstown, Washington County.
