General Notes: Husband - Benjamin Manifold

---

He passed his youth in his native county, and was there married. In 1818 he brought his family to Washington County, Pennsylvania, and located on the Morgan farm in South Strabane township, where they lived until 1840, when they purchased a farm in North Strabane township, and there passed the remainder of their lives. He was a Whig, and although not an active politician, was a stanch supporter of his party. He was one of the leading members of the Presbyterian Church.
