General Notes: Husband - Edward J. Kemm


He spent his youthful days in his native township and attended the public schools with his brothers and sisters. He was not very old when he started to learn the plastering trade, later became a contractor in the same and followed it for twelve years after he discontinued farming in Mercer County. In 1896 he came to New Castle from New Wilmington, to which place he had moved from Plain Grove Township. In 1905, Mr. Kemm was elected to the office of county auditor. In politics, he was a zealous Republican and was a faithful and influential party worker. He was a member of the order of Modern Woodmen of America, at New Castle.
He served as president of the Board of Auditors. He was a member of the Epworth Methodist Episcopal Church at New Castle.
