General Notes: Husband - Abraham S. Walter

He was born on the farm where he long resided, and received his education in the public schools. His career as a farmer began on the homestead, and, with the exception of eighteen months during which he was engaged in the grocery business in Scottdale, he was always a tiller of the soil. His farm was situated three miles west of Scottdale, and on it he made many valuable improvements, erecting a residence in 1883 and a fine barn in 1895. He and his wife were members of the Church of God.
