General Notes: Husband - William Galbraith


He was born near Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland, and emigrated to America in 1818. He settled in Cherry Valley, near Burgettstown, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he was a school teacher, later a justice of the peace, and a man of prominence and influence in the community. He affiliated with the Whig party in politics, and he and his wife were devout members of the United Presbyterian church, of which he was an elder.

She was brought as an infant from Ireland to America by her father and mother about 1802. [HWC 1882, 915]
