General Notes: Husband - Dr. Lecky Murray


He graduated in medicine, and came to America prior to the struggle for independence. In 1776 he was commissioned surgeon of the Fifth Battalion, Lancaster county associators, and was the surgeon in charge of the British prisoners at Lancaster during the years 1777 to 1779. He continued in the active practice of his profession until his death, which occurred suddenly while preparing to make a visit to Ireland.
