General Notes: Husband - W. C. Brown


Civil War: he entered the army as second lieutenant in the second battalion six months volunteers, and was subsequently promoted to first lieutenant. He was captain of company C, 206th Pennsylvania volunteers about one year. He was sheriff of Indiana County, Pennsylvania, from 1875 to 1878.
