General Notes: Husband - Abraham Neukomer

He was a farmer in his native county, and is next heard from in Tyrone township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, October 14, 1797. How long he had then been in that county is not known, but on that date he purchased a tract of land in Tyrone township in partnership with Andrew Shallenbarger. Abraham settled on his half of the purchase, cleared and cultivated it, and lived there until his death, as did his son Uriah.

He was a miller, and for several years operated Lowry's mill at Dunbar. His original farm of one hundred thirty-seven acres, purchased from the United States Government through Mr. Mason, continued in the family well into the twentieth century. He was a Whig in politics, and a member of the Mennonite church.
