General Notes: Husband - Charles Herbert Rodgers


He received his education in the public schools of Lawrence and Clarion counties, Pennsylvania, and Clarion State Normal School. He also attended Goodyear University at Akron, Ohio. He then went into the real estate business with his father, where he remained for three years. He went to Akron, Ohio, and was with the Goodyear Company in their flying squadron. In 1921 Mr. Rodgers went to Lisbon, Ohio, and was engaged in the real estate business for the E. A. Strout Farm Agency. He was later transferred to Pittsburgh as manager of their branch, after which he was manager of their New York City branch. In 1926 he came to Butler and established, in connection with Mr. Sparks, a real estate and auctioneering business.
He was a Republican, and belonged to the Second United Church of Butler, Pennsylvania. Fraternally he was connected with Lisbon Lodge F. and A. M., No. 65.


General Notes: Wife - Irene Furman


She gained some favor as a writer of verse.
She was affiliated with the Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution.
