General Notes: Husband - Humphrey Fullerton


He settled in Jacksonville, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and acquired a large landed estate, being a successful merchant. He laid out the lots in the plan of Jacksonville and owned two hundred acres of the surrounding farm land. In the war of 1812 he served one year as first lieutenant in Captain Joseph Markle's troop, under Major Ball, in General Harrison's army. From 1816 to 1819 he was sheriff of Westmoreland County.
His estate, barring a life-interest to his widow, became vested in his sister, Jane Fullerton, widow of Squire James Irwin, and her heirs.
