General Notes: Husband - Austin L. Murdock


He was educated in the common schools, and in 1881 accepted a position as conductor in the Pullman car service, retaining his place two years. After his marriage he settled on a farm in Rostraver township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he lived as a renter for sixteen years. In the autumn of 1901 he received the appointment of deputy revenue collector at the Gibsonton distillery. He was a Republican in politics, and for over sixteen years served on the school board. He was a member of the Presbyterian church.
