General Notes: Husband - David Edgar Frew


The public schools and the business college in Grove City, Pennsylvania, gave him his education, and he began his career in the First National Bank in Grove City, of which bank he became in a few months assistant cashier. He remained with this bank about fourteen years. Eventually, he entered the First National Bank of Ellwood City as cashier, succeeding W. J. McKim; this was in 1916. A few years later the additional office of vice-president was conferred on him.
He was a member of the Grove City Lodge, No. 603, Free and Accepted Masons, in which order he hold the thirty-second degree as a member of the Valley of New Castle Consistory, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite; and he was also a member of Syria Temple, Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, in Pittsburgh. He belonged to the Ellwood City Rotary Club, the Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce, of which he served one term as president, and the Ellwood City Country Club. Mr. Frew was prominent in church affairs in Ellwood City, and he was a member of the board of trustees of the First United Presbyterian Church.
