General Notes: Husband - Robert Adams


He emigrated to America and settled at Ipswich, Massachusetts, in 1635. He lived in Salem, Massachusetts, 1638 to 1640, then removed to Newbury, Massachusetts. In 1654 he erected at Newbury-Byfield a stone house, still standing (1914), and in use by members of the family. He was the owner of a large tract of land and a man of prominence in the community. His brother was the ancestor of two presidents of the United States-John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

He and his wife had nine children.
