General Notes: Husband - Henry Fretz

He lived on a farm in Bedminster Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, three miles west of Bedminsterville, later known as the Wisler farm, and owned by his son-in-law, Joseph Wisler, where he followed farming and shoemaking. He was known as Shoemaker Henry. On the occasion of his funeral, which was very largely attended, two or three calves were killed and prepared for the funeral dinner; and over one hundred carriages followed his remains to the grave, showing the high esteem in which he was held. He and wife were buried at the Old Mennonite church at Deep Run, of which they were members.
