General Notes: Husband - John M. Miller

He was probably born in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he was reared, and after leaving school he learned the blacksmith's trade. Subsequent to his marriage he removed to Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, where he lived for a few years and then returned to Westmoreland County, locating near Stanton, where he conducted a blacksmith shop for many years. He then took up his abode near Adamsburg, in the same county and engaged again in blacksmithing, while his sons operated the farm which he purchased there. His political support was given the Republican party and he was a member of the Lutheran church.
