General Notes: Husband - Levi Fox


He was reared on a farm, received his education in the common schools, and began life for himself as a farmer in Hempfield township, Westmoreland County, PA. By industry, economy and good management, he was successful in farming and stock-raising and acquired considerable means. He owned three well improved farms, raised fine cattle and horses and harvested large crops of grain and hay. He was a democrat in his political views and a lutheran in religion, being a member of Brush Creek church of that denomination.
