General Notes: Husband - Charles Fox Stoner

He received a very complete education in the public schools of his native county, which he supplemented by a course at the Western Pennsylvania Scientific and Classical School and at Iron City College in Pittsburgh. Since he developed an early preference for finance as a profession, he entered the banking business as teller in the First National Bank of Mount Pleasant in 1896. He was made assistant cashier in 1917, and cashier in 1921. He was also a director in this bank. During the first World War, Mr. Stoner gave invaluable service to his country on the Registration Board. A Republican in politics, he was a member of the Borough Council for five years. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, in which he held all the offices, and served as delegate to State conventions. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and was treasurer for two years. His religious affiliation was with the Church of God, of which he was also treasurer.
He was treasurer of the Mount Pleasant Classical and Scientific Institute of Mount Pleasant.
