General Notes: Husband - Gen. John Forker

He was a gunsmith by trade, and in the War of 1812 followed that business for the army at Erie, PA. He settled in Mercer, Mercer County, PA, in 1816 and worked at his trade of gunsmithing and was prominently identified with the militia of the county, holding the rank of brigadier-general. He was an ardent Democrat, served one term as sheriff of Mercer County, and was one of the leading men of his day. He died in the faith of the United Presbyterian Church.

There was an Israel Forker in Ravenna, OH, in 1853 who was possibly a son of John.

General Notes: Wife - Isabella Graham

She was still living in Mercer, PA, in 1909. [HMC 1909, 581]
