General Notes: Husband - Edward H. Stenger


He was educated in the common schools and followed farming, buying and selling stock. He at one time sold beef in Greenville, PA. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church at Salem, of which he was trustee for more than fifteen years, and collected and made all payments to the ministers. He was also superintendent of the Sabbath-schools. He was secretary of the school board for twenty years, and served the township as judge, inspector and auditor. In politics he was a liberal Democrat.
