The Citizen-Press, Franklin, PA
Apr 19, 1894; pg 5
--Albert Flowers, a young man 23 years old and a former resident of Mt. Hope, this county, was found in a dying condition on the roadside last Friday by a farmer near Bowling Green, O. He had accidently or purposely taken a fatal dose of strychnine. Eighteen months ago, Flowers, who was a driller, married the daughter of W. Johnston, a respectable and prosperous storekeeper of Bowling Green. On Tuesday his wife sued him for divorce on the grounds of cruel treatment and it is hinted that this caused him to take the fatal dose. The funeral took place at the home of John M. Flowers, of Rockland, Sunday.
