General Notes: Husband - David Duncan Skinner

He was a farmer near Dry Run, Pennsylvania. In early life he drove a team to Pittsburgh for a number of years. In 1844, with only $700, he bought a farm on which he made all the improvements. By industry and thrift he became the owner of three farms, comprising six hundred acres.

His first wife died leaving eight children, only one living in 1887. He had ten children with his second wife, of which nine were living in 1887.
