General Notes: Husband - Louis Henry Fletcher

He moved to Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, after his father's death to live with his uncle, George W. Ziegler. He was educated in the public schools and served in his uncle's store until he was twenty-three years old. After his marriage he went to Lancaster, where he was a clerk in the store of Martin & Lantz for three years. While thus engaged he was chosen cashier of the First National Bank of Greencastle, a position that he held for sixteen years, 1865-81. He was afterward engaged in business as a grain dealer at Shippensburg with Gambrill & Co., of Baltimore. In 1884 he entered the Auditor's office of the Cumberland Valley Railroad at Chambersburg, where he remained for eighteen years. In politics he was a Republican, and was always an active party worker. He served as a school director at Greencastle for six years, and in 1902 was elected county treasurer of Franklin County. He was a ruling elder of the Presbyterian Church of Greencastle.
