General Notes: Husband - William Ewing Stewart

A cooper by trade, he served as a bugler of the One Hundred and Sixteenth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Civil War.

He came with his parents to Ohio in 1840. He remained on the farm till the breaking out of the Civil war, when he enlisted as a musician in Co. A, 140th O. V. I. At the close of the war he took up his residence in Middleport and engaged with his brother John in the manufacture of salt and flour barrels. Later on he took up his residence in Wilkesville, Ohio, where he resided till his death.
