General Notes: Husband - Barton L. Simpson


He received his education in the public and high schools of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania, and on leaving the latter institution of learning, entered upon his business career. He held various positions in several banks during the next few years, until in 1900 he became cashier of the Windber National Bank of Windber, Pennsylvania. He remained in this capacity until the establishment in 1909 of the Windber Trust Company, of which he was made the president, which office he has retained for over fifteen years. Mr. Simpson was also connected with the Berwind White Coal Company, and he was active in politics, being a member of the Republican Party, but not seeking political preferment or office. In his religious connection he was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
