General Notes: Husband - Thomas Fish

The Fish (Fysche) Family, supposedly of Saxon Nobility of Kent County, England, had previously come from Normandy in France in the Thirteenth or Fourteenth century. Their coat-of-arms was the fleur-de-lis topped with recumbent lions. Their motto was “Deus dabit”.

The first progenitor of the Fish Family on record was Simon Fish, a lawyer in London, England, in 1531. No more is known of him.

This Thomas Fish of Warwick and Wedgnock Park in the Hundred of Knightlew, County of Warwick, England, occupied the manor house known as the “Good Rest House”, where he was living as late as 1649, perhaps a tenant of the Barons Brooke, of the family which were later the Earls of Warwick.

Thomas and Mary Sprigge Fish had seven children.
