General Notes: Husband - John Findley


He was born on the Findley homestead in Mercer County, Pennsylvania; was reared on the home farm, and received his early education in the public schools. Later he graduated at Iron City Commercial College; removed to Butler County in 1878 and to Butler in 1886. In politics, he was a stanch Republican, served as a member of the school board for a number of years, and was sometime secretary of the board. He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal church of Butler, of which he was treasurer. He was also a member of the R. T. of T., and the K. of P., in both of which he filled positions of trust.
He was secretary and treasurer of the Pittsburgh Refining Company, Limited, of Pittsburgh.
