General Notes: Husband - Thomas Ferrier

He came from Ireland to America, of which he was a native though of French-Protestant parentage, while yet a young man. It is said that the vessel on which he sailed was nine months at sea and that the passengers received ill treatment and scant allowance of food but were ultimately landed at Cape Cod. Colonel Charles Clinton, grandfather of DeWitt Clinton, appears to have been one of the passengers on this vessel, and in 1731 he removed to Little Britain, Ulster (later Orange) County, New York, Thomas Ferrier locating also in that county.

General Notes: Wife - Hester Lucky

She was said to have come from Holland, though not of Dutch ancestry; she may, however, have been a fellow passenger with her future husband on the "George and Anne" which sailed from Ireland, May 20, 1729, bound for Philadelphia. In this latter case she could not then have exceeded ten years of age.
