General Notes: Husband - John Gallagher


He was born on the land purchased by his grandfather, in Muddy Creek township, Butler County, PA. He was reared on his father's farm, and subsequently purchased fifty acres of the homestead, on which he erected improvements and resided until his death. He was a Democrat until the Rebellion, when he became an adherent of the Republican party. Both he and his wife were members of the United Presby­terian church at Prospect.
