Clarksville, PA
He and his wife had five children.
He was reared on the old family homestead in Mercer County, PA, and learned the carpenter's trade. He worked at it until 1901, when he retired from the trade and lived at Clarksville, PA. He was a member of the school board for many years. In his political views he was a Democrat. Some time after his marriage he removed to Wisconsin and lived there two years, then returned to Mercer County.
