General Notes: Husband - Homer F. Fenton


A native of Ohio, he settled in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, when a young man, and engaged in lumbering in that section throughout his active life.
He was a soldier of the Civil War throughout that struggle, enlisting in Battery E, First Pennsylvania Artillery, and served as a private to the end. He was under General Grant in the Richmond campaign, and received a wound just before the close of hostilities.
