General Notes: Husband - Adam Heckendorn

He was born in Berks County, Pennsylvania, and grew to manhood in Cumberland County, later becoming a resident of Perry County, where he owned a valuable farm on which he made most of the improvements. Being a natural mechanic, he repaired most of his machinery, and shod his own horses. He died in Perry County, as did also his wife, who survived him a few years. In early life he held membership with the Presbyterian Church, but, removing to a community where there was no organization of that denomination, he joined the Lutheran Church, to which his wife had always belonged.
