General Notes: Husband - John Fell

The forefathers of the Fell family came to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1704. Joseph Fell was born August 19, 1668, in Longlonds, Parish of Uldale, county of Cumberland, England, and died in Buckingham township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, April 9, 1748. Jesse Fell was born February 11, 1808, and with his nephew, Edward Fell, made a successful experiment of burning anthracite coal on an iron grate he planned, and which his best friends and near neighbors believed to be a hoax.
