General Notes: Husband - Aaron Fell

---

He received his early education in the common schools of the locality. He was bred a farmer and engaged in that vocation until he was twenty-five years of age, when he combined the lumber business with agriculture. At one time he was the owner of seven hundred acres of land and at his death was one of the substantial citizens of his section of Mercer County, Pennsylvania.

He was a farmer and also engaged in the lumber business. He handled agricultural implements for several years and built the first sawmill in Mercer County, having a circular saw. He also erected the Arlington Hotel and was prominent in many ways in the county. He never cared for public office, but was an ardent supporter of the Republican party. He was a faithful member of the Universalist church. In fraternal society matters he was identified with the Masonic order, belonging to Eureka Lodge No. 291, F. & A. M., and Mound Chapter No. 212, of Royal Arch Masons.
