General Notes: Husband - George Thompson

---

He was born in Maryland, and came in early youth with his father to Cook township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. There he bought a farm of one hundred and thirty-five acres and resided there all his life. He also engaged here in general farming.
He was a Republican in politics, and held a number of local offices in the region. He was a Methodist in his religious belief and class leader in the church there for forty years.
