Ralph M. Lawrence, 79 - Retired from Austin Concrete Manufacturing Ralph M. Lawrence, 79, 2747 E. 27th St., died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 1996, at Hamot Medical Center. He was born in North East, April 10, 1917, son of the late LaVern and Blanche Prindle Lawrence. He was a lifelong Erie resident. He was employed in maintenance with Austin Concrete Manufacturing for 35 years, retiring in 1982. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Lawrence, to whom he had been married for 45 years; a son, Ralph Lawrence; a brother, Alton Lawrence; and a grandson, Brian Lawrence. Survivors include his wife, Beulah Smith Dougan Lawrence; a son, Rodger Lawrence and his wife Christine of Millcreek Twp.; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (June) Miller of Erie and Mrs. E. J. (Jill) Rodriguez of Greene Twp.; a stepson, Kenneth Dougan of Lawrence Park; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jerald (Shirley) Mills of Wesleyville and Mrs. John (Glenda) Fazzino of Erie; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; 16 step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, 2607 Buffalo Road, today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held there Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Larry Reitz of South Harborcreek United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at North East Cemetery.

Survivors include her widower, Ralph M. Lawrence; a son, Roger B. Lawrence of Erie; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry (June) Miller and Mrs. E. J. (Jill) Rodrigues, both of Erie; three sisters, Mrs. Irad (Betty) Smith and Mrs. Steve (Jenny) Kashak, both of Erie, and Mrs. David (Jean) Herring of Eau-Gallie, Fla.; and a brother, Charles Farnham of Eau-Gallie. Friends may call at the A. Brugger and Sons Funeral Home, 449 E. 9th, today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and may attend a service there Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Terry G. Shafer of Tenth Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at North East Cemetery.
