General Notes: Husband - Philip Snyder

He was an early settler of Slippery Rock Township, Butler County, PA.
He came from Lancaster County, PA, and about the year 1801, settled on the farm later owned by Hiram Snyder. To pay his taxes, he had to resort to every method of economy which he could possibly practice. He made maple sugar and carried it to Butler to sell, thus earning a little money.
