Notes: Marriage

Their courtship was a peculiar one. Mr. Eyer had heard of the charms of Miss Kleinfelter, then residing in York, York County, Pennsylvania, and being fascinated with the account, went to see her. The result was that soon after his return to Winfield, Union County, he made another journey to that place and brought home his bride, the trip being made on horseback. It is proper to add that, notwithstanding their limited acquaintance, they proved well adapted to each other and "lived happily ever after."
