ROBERT E. EXLEY SR.
Robert E. Exley Sr., 54, of Venus R D 1 died at 2:15 pm Wednesday in the Oil City Health Center. Born August 1, 1931, in Oil City, he was the son Walter A. and Naomi Krumm Exley.
He was married to Patricia J. Johnson on July 14, 1972, she survives. Mr. Exley lived at Venus RD 1 for the past three years, moving there from the Oil City Area.
He worked for General Telephone Co. for 23 years. He was stricken ill at work Tuesday. Mr. Exley was a 1949 graduate of Oil City High School.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Robin) Lauer and Mrs. Tom (Kim) Courson, both of Oil City RD 2; a son Robert E. Exley Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters, Mrs James (Shirley) Schwab of Oil City and Dwight (Jeanne) Morrow of Rockland; five grandchildren.
He was proceded in death by a brother, Walter A. Exley Jr. He was killed during World War II while serving in the Air Force.
Friends may call after 2 pm Friday at the Louis H. Osenider Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
