Newspaper Obituary - Reginald Chetwood "Dale" Exley II
R. C. (Dale) Exley, 69, 7311 Chambers Creek Road, Tacoma, Wash., formerly of Fairview, died Thursday at Allenmore Community Hospital in Tacoma.
He was born, June 3, 1911, in Seattle, Wash., a son of the late R. C. and Clara Merritt Exley. He graduated from Fairview High School and was a veteran of World War II. He resided in the Fairview, Pa., and Houston, Texas areas most of his life and recently moved to Tacoma following retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Dora Park Exley of Tacoma; six sons, Dale, Robert, William, Michael and Gem Exley and R. C. Exley III, all of Houston, Tex.; three daughters, Louise Johnson of Houston, Claire Osborne of Denver, Colo., and Karen Woodard of Lafayette, La.; three brothers, R. C. Exley, Jr. of Cranesville, Robert Exley of Bakersfield, Calif., and William Exley of Fairview; three sisters, Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Petri and Mrs. Harold (Margaret) Foster, both of Fairview, and Mrs. Frank (Jane) Ploss of Okeechobee, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Brookside Mortuary, 9212 Chambers Creek Rd., Tacoma, Wash. Interment will be in Tacoma.
