Harold W. Exley
Harold W. Exley, 79, of 40 Allegheny Ave., Reno, died at 12:15 pm Friday in the Oil City Presbyterian Home.
Born September 20, 1912, in Franklin, he was a son of the late George C. and Elizabeth Texter Exley.
He moved with his family to Reno during his childhood.
Mr. Exley married the form­er Betty Haun in 1933. She preceded him in death on February 5, 1967.
He then married Martha M. Perez, and she survives.
Mr. Exley was retired from Wolf's Head Refinery in 1977 after 40 years of service.
He had been a member of Reno Methodist Church.
Mr. Exley enjoyed gardening and carpentry.
In addition to his wife he is survived by five sons, Arthur C. Exley of Ocala, Fla., James E. Exley of Wilmington, N.C., Clarence R. (Dick) Exley and Harold M. (Sonny) Exley, both of Franklin, and Terry L. Exley of Indianapolis; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Sara) Bat­tles of Ocala, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Exley was preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Exley; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Robert Exley and Walter Exley; and a sister, Harriet Miller.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Sunday at Huff Chapel in Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday in the funeral home,
Rev. Virgil Gricks, assistant pastor of the Community Chapel in Franklin, will offici­ate.
Entombment will be at Sun­set Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests that me­morials be made to the Presby­terian Home.
