Miss Frances Exley Former Resident Dies In Meadville
Miss Frances Exley, 91, former Emlenton milliner, died Thursday, January 30, in the Fleckinger Con­valescent Home in Meadville.
She was born on January 3, 1873, a daughter of Christopher and Le­ah Best Exley. She operated the Exley Millinery Store in Emlen­ton with her sister for a number of years and also did nursing work in the Emlenton area.
Miss Exley was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Em­lenton.
She left Emlenton eight years ago to go to Meadville. A niece, Mrs. Samuel Bates, of 482 Sun­set Drive, Meadville, survives.
Funeral services were held in the Criswell Funeral Home in Emlenton at 1:30 Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Richard Korber, pastor of St. Johns Lutheran Church, of­ficiating. Burial was in the Em­lenton Cemetery.
