General Notes: Husband - James A. Ewing

He was educated at the public schools, and, beginning in 1866, was engaged in the mercantile business at Walker's Mills. The postoffice was at his store for twenty-two years or more, during at least seven of which he was postmaster. Previous to engaging in this business he resided with his mother on the farm. They owned one hundred acres, part of the first purchase made by Squire James Ewing.
