General Notes: Husband - Alexander Ewing

Five brothers by the name of Ewing came to America at a period anterior to Penn's arrival in the country. Alexander Ewing, a descendant of these, born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, came to Beaver County in 1788.

The Ewings came to America at a very early date and settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania. They migrated to Allegheny County, in 1787, and took up farming in Beaver County, about 1802, on Raccoon creek. After a time he presented to the local government what is now Raccoon township, and resided in that region until his death. [GPHBC, 568]
